Waitrons
WHAT MUST YOU DO?
As a waitron your main function is to serve food to the guests at their tables, but you will also have to:
- Clear and stack plates
- Serve water and soft drinks (you won’t be allowed to serve alcohol)
- Assist in the kitchen if required
- Assist with the auction and raffle on the night and keep the venue tidy
You play a major role in making the evening a success!!
TIME
It is held at the Kenilworth Racecourse from 5.30pm – 11.30pm.
UNIFORM
You will be required to wear:
- A plain black top or t-shirt preferably short sleeves as it gets hot, but NO spaghetti straps please
- Black long pants (leggings, jeggings, jeans or similar)
- Flat white or black shoes/pumps/trainers – which must be comfortable
- Apron (this will be provided on the night)
- Hair to be neatly tied back in a ponytail if its long
BREAKS
You will have break times in the evening. A break room will be provided in which you can relax. Light refreshments will be provided for you, but we suggest you eat before you arrive.
CODE OF CONDUCT
When you agree to be a waitron, you must commit to the following:
- To arrive punctually at 5.30pm and to stay for the whole evening until 11.30pm.
- To perform any of the waitressing tasks required in a friendly and polite manner
- Not to consume alcohol or smoke on the premises
- To acknowledge that you are there to work and to help make the Dance a success
- To attend the briefing on the Saturday morning at the venue (no one can waitress if they don’t attend this briefing)
